Project of the two-story private houses in Saghmosavan

The house is located on Charents Street, in the center of Tsakhkadzor. The aim of the project was to address the modern needs of its inhabitants, at the same time preserving the unique architecture of the existing landmark.

The historical residence has been restored to its original state and extended with new living spaces. The unfolding configurations, building materials and colors were designed and carefully selected to harmonise with its historical and natural surrounding.

The house communicates with the street via its northern facade. The rest of the main fronts are inward-facing, thus creating an inner courtyard - an atmosphere, where old meets new, while accentuating the historic features of the landmark.
