Guided by A. Grigoryan: Projects of historical and cultural substantiation and authors, booklet

A group of young architects was founded in 1979. It was headed by Artyom Grigoryan, a lecturer at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. He was a specialist in the reconstruction of historical settlements and the preservation of cultural heritage, which was a new field for the Republicat this time. The team included Armen Gyulamiryan, Hovhannes Sanamyan and Karen Grigoryan.

The group created eight large-scale projects of historical and cultural substantiation of historical settlements in Armenia. They were developed in the Department of Protection and Use and Monuments of History and Culture of the Armenian SSR Council of Ministers - jointly by the Department of Architecture of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.

Of these projects, the "Project for the Historical and Cultural Substantiation of the City of Echmiadzin" was recognized as one of the best architectural works of the republic from 1975–1980, and the "Project for the Historical and Cultural Substantiation of the Village of Harich" was recognized as one of the best projects of the USSR in 1982.
